Float Reed Magnetic Sensors
Float reed magnetic sensors are used for liquid level control. A magnet mounted on a float moves along a rod where a reed switch is positioned. As the liquid level changes, the float moves and activates the switch. Available in plastic or AISI 316 stainless steel versions, they can withstand temperatures up to +150°C.
Reed Magnetic Sensors, Hall Effect Sensors, and Magnets.
Reed magnetic sensors and Hall effect sensors detect the presence of magnetic fields generated by magnets. Reed sensors are mechanical and robust, while Hall effect sensors are electronic, more precise, and resistant to vibrations. Both are commonly used in pneumatic cylinders to detect piston position.
Magnetic Sensors for Cylinders
Magnetic sensors for cylinders are used to accurately detect the piston’s position inside pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders. They operate by detecting the magnetic field generated by a magnet mounted on the piston: when the piston passes near the sensor, the device generates an electrical signal.
A visual LED indicates the sensor’s state change, making piston positioning easy to identify. This signal can then be used as input for other electrical commands in the system.
The sensors are available with two different technologies:
- Reed Circuit: robust and reliable, activated by the magnetic field.
- Magneto-Resistive Technology: advanced, precise, and resistant to vibrations and wear.
All models come with pre-assembled cables or an M8 connector for quick and secure connection. They are compatible with various types of cylinders and ideal for industrial applications where reliability and ease of installation are required.
