Great technologies at the service of industrial automation. One of the few companies in Italy that produces specialized electrical equipment for large industrial machines has Tuscan roots. It is called Sirio Srl and it is a beautiful reality in the Valdarno – led by the two partners Liano Cassioli and Danilo Comanducci – which despite its not exactly giant size, manages to compete with large multinationals, thanks to its flexibility. Making use of highly specialized skills, Sirio offers a series of technological solutions for industrial machines in every sector: from food to alternative energy, up to large industry and the railway sector. Specifically, it is a question of providing companies that build automation machines with all those electronic components that are essential to make them work.
From the control units to the connectors, passing through the limit switches, up to the safety devices and the list could go on and on. Two different product lines are processed within the Figline Valdarno plant: electromechanical and electronic, the latter consisting of passive components such as connectors. Each product line always passes through a series of in-depth and specialized checks, which are entrusted to external laboratories. Today Sirio develops about 90% of its market in Italy, while the remaining 10% is distributed between the US and Europe. The electronic part accounts for 60% of a turnover which in the last year recorded a value of 8.2 million euros. The story of this beautiful reality, perfectly inserted in the industrial center of Valdarno, began in 1984, from an idea of ​​Liano Cassioli, who has 10 years of experience behind him in a Milanese company that manufactured electromechanical products. In 1984 Sirio was transformed into an Srl and with the passage of time it became more and more a point of reference in the market for the distribution of electrical and electronic components in central Italy, and then expanded its range of action also in the rest of the peninsula and towards the foreign markets. Since 2004 the company has been transferred from Florence to Figline Valdarno. In this way it was possible to have a more rational and adequate logistic management of the warehouse. Backed by a consolidated experience and important collaborative relationships with the main companies in the sector, in addition to the high professionalism of its employees, today Sirio is able to satisfy the main requests of its customers in the automation sector and in the world of power connections. and electronics. The new objectives will lead Sirio to an expansion of products in the electronics sector, as well as an increasingly well-stocked warehouse to respond positively to customer needs

Also this year, the SIRIO company was present at the fifth edition of SPS IPC Drives, the fair dedicated to Technologies for Electrical Automation, Systems and Components, Fair and Congress, which took place in Parma from 12 to 14 May with more than 600 exhibitors for approximately 52,000 square meters of space and which in 2015 reached the quota of approximately 23,400 visitors. SIRIO visited the stand of Pizzato Elettrica, a company with which it has been collaborating for many years and which represents one of the leading European manufacturers of position switches, safety devices, safety modules, control auxiliaries, devices for lifts, foot switches and microswitches.

Always looking for new technologies, once again this year SIRIO visited SPS IPC Drives Italia, the national reference fair for industrial automation, now in its seventh edition.
